How an order flows

Pick a channel and a product, then place a test order. Drop-ship items go straight to a UK supplier. Stockroom items (Phone Tripod, Sunglasses, LED Dog Collar) go on your pick list for Royal Mail at 4pm. These are the same steps the 46 orders today went through.

The order lands in your one order list the second it is paid, whichever channel it came from. A drop-ship item, so it goes to a supplier next.

Without a system

Every order by hand

  • Log in to four seller dashboards to see what sold overnight.
  • Copy each address into the supplier's website or an email.
  • Write out a pick list for the stockroom and type each Royal Mail label.
  • Change the stock on the other three channels and hope nothing sold in between.
  • Paste tracking numbers back into each channel, one at a time.
  • Work out the profit in a spreadsheet on Sunday night.
With this system

Every order on its own

  • One list of orders from all four channels, live.
  • Drop-ship orders go to the right supplier within seconds.
  • Stockroom orders land on one pick list with the bin, ready for the 4pm collection.
  • One stock figure, the same on every channel, all the time.
  • Tracking flows back to the channel and the customer by itself.
  • Profit worked out on every order, the moment it lands.
